Center for Peace-Building
and Conflict Transformation

The Center is rooted in the teaching and example of Jesus. Jesus presents the definitve paradigm of peace building. "For he is our peace; in his flesh he has made both groups into one and has broken down the dividing wall....that he might create in himself one new humanity in place of the two, thus making peace..."

The Center's agenda is to resolve conflict in Africa at all levels — family, interpersonal, in churches and organizations, between communities, and at national levels.

The Center teaches the Bible's vision for justice and "shalom" and equips persons in diverse arenas to intervene with skill and discernment in conflict situations and building deep-rooted peace.

The Center will be an environment for research and writing concerning issues of peace building in African contexts. In addition, the Center offers mediation and arbitration services.
