ISAR has brought together a unique constellation of human resources and infrastructure for promoting scholarly research in Africa, especially in fields such as Linguistics and Bible Translation, Global Christianity, and African Pentecostalism
1. LOCATION— the institute shares facilities with NEGST on the outskirts of Nairobi. The Kenya capital is the commercial center for eastern Africa and Great Lakes region and home-base for numerous UN agencies and NGOs
2. TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS— Nairobi has long been a regional hub for transportation of all kinds to all of Africa;
3. ACCOMMODATION and BOARD— an on-campus guest house offers safe and comfortable long-term and short term accommodation on the AIU campus. Along with accommodation, there is reasonably priced meal service4. IT CAPACITY— AIU is now able to offer quality internet access as a result of the university’s participation in the KEN-NET consortium which facilitates improved connectivity for African universities
5. LIBRARY— The Tony Wilmot Library of NEGST is the finest collection of theological resources in sub-Saharan Africa. 50,000 volumes and significant journals, plus many online resources6. INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY OF SCHOLARS— research is enhanced when it is grounded in a community of scholars. NEGST resident faculty including 25 PhDs representing 11 nationalities, are available for consultation

Many of these grads are now holding strategic leadership positions in ecclesiastical organizations and colleges. Researchers can gain access to strategic individuals via the NEGST alumni office.
